Charles L. Blockson

Born December 16, 1933 — Died June 14, 2023
Title: Historian, author, collector, bibliophile, and African diaspora archivist
Charles L. Blockson spent his life collecting and preserving materials related to African American history and the wider African diaspora. His collections at Temple University and Penn State helped protect books, documents, artifacts, and records that might otherwise have been lost or ignored.
