Julian Dixon

Full name: Julian Carey Dixon
Born August 8, 1934 — died December 8, 2000
Attorney, California legislator, U.S. congressman, and Congressional Black Caucus leader.
Dixon represented Los Angeles in Congress for more than two decades and became a respected authority on defense, intelligence, transportation, and urban policy. His leadership helped strengthen Black political representation in California and the Congressional Black Caucus.
Robin Quivers

Full name: Robin Ophelia Quivers
Born August 8, 1952
Radio personality, broadcaster, author, and longtime national media figure.
Quivers became one of the most recognizable women in American radio through her decades on The Howard Stern Show. Her presence, news reporting, humor, and willingness to challenge the room gave a Black woman an unusually powerful and enduring voice in national talk radio.
Kool Moe Dee

Born August 8, 1962
Rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, and early hip-hop lyricist.
Kool Moe Dee helped move hip-hop toward more complex lyricism through the Treacherous Three and his solo career. His famous battle with Busy Bee helped establish competitive emceeing as a central part of rap culture, while his rapid delivery influenced generations of lyricists.
Marsha Ambrosius

British singer, songwriter, producer, and member of Floetry.

Meagan Good

Actress, producer, director, and film and television performer.
