Voting-rights organizer, educator, businesswoman, and central leader of the Selma movement.

Robinson and her family spent decades building Black political power in Dallas County, Alabama, opening their home and office to organizers who planned the Selma campaign. Beaten unconscious on Bloody Sunday, she became an enduring witness to the courage that helped secure the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
