Shadow of Evil challenges the visual language often used to separate good from evil.

Two stylized roller skaters crouch back-to-back against a textured brown background. One is a dark figure marked by a halo. The other is a light figure with horns and a pointed tail. Their similar poses connect them, but their opposing symbols create immediate tension.

By placing the halo over darkness and the horns against light, the artwork disrupts the familiar idea that darkness automatically represents evil and light automatically represents innocence. It asks the viewer to look beyond appearance and consider how quickly people assign meaning, character, and judgment based on what they see.

The skates introduce another layer of balance and movement. Both figures appear poised to roll in opposite directions, yet they remain connected through posture, contrast, and composition. Good and evil are presented not as distant forces, but as opposing possibilities occupying the same space.
